Basin Head Beach is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. Basin Head is a day park featuring a supervised white sand beach, play area, food on site, washroom and shower facilities. Dogs are allowed on the beach but have to be on leash. The park is also home to the Basin Head Fisheries Museum which is dedicated to maintaining the history of fisheries in that area and is also a Federal Marine Protected area due to unique flora and fauna that is only found there.
